entertaining POPULAR exclusive FREESTYLE MINDFUL CUTTING-EDGE SOCIO-POLITICAL BLOG AVEC a dollop of SNARK now showing the POPular hilarious samizdat "DONALD TRUMP IS MY (frickin'') GURU"
It started as a reasoned and reasonable, if stiff, disagreement about the usefulness of Bob Somerby as a media critic.
As that was wrapping up, I happened to mention that "tremors" of the 2008 primary divisions could be seen in some of the varying opinions about Somerby seen in the broader community and included a couple of quotes illustrating the point.
In reaction, I was what person called, I think fairly, blindsided by an attempt to re-fight those primaries, something I have no interest in doing - particularly since I had no interest in fighting them in the first place. (As soon as $$ allows, my wife and I both want 2L4O t-shirts. Had the primaries turned out differently, we'd be in the market for 2L4C shirts.)
As a result, I lost a reader and now, apparently, am regarded by some not as a radical or a progressive but a "progressive" and perhaps even, that ultimate attempt at insult, a "pwog." Based on a single post and my refusal to get into a debate over the press treatment of Hillary Clinton in 2008.
This blog frequently and deliberately uses vile sexist language in order more clearly to demonstrate its ubiquity and unacceptability, so don't get your panties in a twist about it, sweeties. ;)

Um, actually, no, it wasn't.

"Fun" isn't the word that springs to mind.
Poetic license.
Around a sore spot that continues to be sore.
