Well, when you want people to tithe, you want them to tithe even when they ain't got no income. So, if they save now, they'll still be able to give later. Giving is fine, tithing is bullshit. It's just another guilt trip the "spiritual leaders" lay on the credulous boobs.

And, if there wasn't enough evidence for the overt religiosity in the "Commander's Call" piece, that constant, incessant drumbeat about GOD needing the cash (what, exactly, does he need to buy?) is a dead giveaway.
